Defy The Standards.

You don't rise to your goals, you fall to your standards. Most people set goals but few define the standard that will carry them there. Goals are literally the destination, standards are the road that you travel.

Meaning, when I train teams, I don't just ask what they want to achieve, I ask what behaviors will be non-negotiable along the way. If you tolerate mediocrity in the small things, it will show up in the big things. Raising your standards means deciding what you will no longer accept from yourself or others.

It's about tightening the gap between your intentions and your actions. High net worth entrepreneurs often struggle with holding their teams accountable to high standards because they fear being perceived as demanding. But excellence requires clear expectations.

Standards create consistency and consistency builds trust. Learn how to set and enforce high standards by watching Pursuit of Excellence.
